Ballerina & Me® was conceived in 2012 when Rini’s young ballet-loving daughter, Louise, asked for a dancing partner. Her brothers, Edwin and Dylan, suggested a ballerina doll and Rini responded by creating one! Then another, and another! Each an improvement on the first. Louise was thrilled to have not just a life-size dancing partner, but also a play companion of her own. Rini felt compelled to share the love and bring the joy of inspiration and imagination into the lives of children of all ages. With the assistance of a professional designer to help translate Rini's initial ideas into a design ready for production, the Ballerina & Me® doll was born. Rini also researched and learned absolutely everything she possibly could about the toy industry and went on to pursue International Trademarks to comply with European, ASTM and Australian Toy Safety Standards. In 2014, she launched and market-tested her first Ballerina doll through word-of-mouth, local markets, social media, trade events and online platforms. The update has been magical and the Ballerina & Me® doll is lifting the hearts of legions of little girls from across the globe.. Now she’s ready to take on the world!
